AREA SALES MANAGER, NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

We are seeking an organized, energetic, and results-driven Area Sales Manager, Northern California to join our Western U.S. sales team. The qualified person will be responsible for all agricultural selling activities, from lead generation through after-the-sale/account support for a Northern California territory from Stockton, Calif., to the border with Oregon. The ASM will achieve revenue targets through customer prospecting, strategic relationship development and customer support in order to develop loyal customers and achieve sales targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have 2-3 years of related field and/or business-to-business sales experience and familiarity with high value fruit, vegetable, berry, tree and vine crop production along with good knowledge of local territory growers. Agronomy experience specific to supporting growers transitioning from conventional to organic farming with an emphasis on bio-rational products would be an added plus. Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, life sciences, horticulture, agriculture or a related field. Extensive territory and overnight travel.

SCIENTIST, PROCESS DEVELOPMENT - MONTREAL, QUEBEC

We are seeking a Scientist, Process Development to support fermentation optimization, characterization and testing of the company’s microbial technologies and products at our Montreal, Quebec location. This hands-on candidate will have experience in optimizing and quantifying microbial fermentation processes and in industrial biotechnology. This person will participate in the execution of deliverables including process development/optimization and scale-up with the appropriate level of qualification/validation. This person will also design and conduct experiments, analyze samples, track quality parameters, author documents and identify potential IP areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have substantial experience in the areas of microbial fermentation, process development and recovery with a Ph.D. in microbial physiology, chemical engineering or related field. Experience in an industrial setting is strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, committed team player and collaborator with strong sense of urgency, integrity and entrepreneurial spirit.
