HR Operations and Talent Associate

We are seeking an HR Operations and Talent Associate to provide professional and administrative support to the Global Human Resources and Organizational Development team.  The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the global HRIS, working with the vendor and employees regarding HRIS issues, as well as providing analytics/reporting as needed. Also supports the Talent Acquisition function, placing and monitoring recruitment efforts and updating workforce-planning reports. This individual will be the HR liaison with the various payrolls in each country, will support the HR team across all functional areas of HR as needed, and will provide support for the implementation of new and ongoing HR projects including M&A work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is analytical, good with math, and able to manage multiple priorities and diverse projects. The candidate must have a college degree, preferably with an HR-specific or business focus. HR certification is a plus. Must have at least 3 years of professional HR operations/recruitment experience in an office environment. Work experience with an HRIS is preferred. Knowledge and previous work experience with ADP payroll platform with Workforce Now experience is a plus, as well as experience using LinkedIn recruitment tools.

Product Manager

We are seeking a driven, passionate, and inquisitive problem solver to join our team. Receptionist

We are seeking an organized and energetic Receptionist to join our team. The qualified person will be the first contact with our organization and will greet and interact with local and remote team members, Board of Directors, Advisory Board members and the public. This is a 30-hour per week opportunity with benefits.

Scientist, Field Trials

The Scientist, Field Trials will be responsible for setting up and executing company research trials, compiling all data, and statistically analyzing such data for trends and insights for product development and best/proper product use. This position will also help manage third-party independent research trials as needed to help ensure successful execution and data analysis of all research trials with our biological accelerators for soil, seed and plants.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have either a Master of Science in Agronomy or related degree with 5 years’ experience in agriculture or a related industry, or a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy or related degree with 10 years’ experience in agriculture or a related industry. Needs to have broad knowledge and experience conducting crop research, experimental design and statistical analysis, data collection, information management systems, data interpretation, database design and manipulation and report writing/summary presentations. Must possess a practical knowledge of crop production and farming practices, with demonstrated experience in soil fertility, plant pathology, entomology, plant physiology, soil microbiology, biochemistry or biotechnology a plus. Computer literacy with skills in the Microsoft Office Suite as well as statistical software such as SAS, ASReml, or knowledge of R preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, integrity and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Scientist, Statistician

The Scientist, Statistician will be responsible for compiling, statistically analyzing and managing all data for the company. The data includes, though is not limited to, field trial data, QA/QC batch production data, bioinformatics data, analytical chemistry and all the –omics (genomic, transcriptomic, metabolomic and proteomic) data. This position will also help determine strategic direction for use of funds with research dollars and data management/database infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have either a Master of Science in Statistics or related degree with 5 years’ experience in agriculture or a related industry. A doctorate with 2+ years’ experience is preferred. This position needs to have broad knowledge and experience conducting numerous statistical analyses, including, but not limited to, apriori power analyses, basic lsmeans and linear regression, ANOVA, PCA, correlation matrices, nonlinear regression, and bi-plots. Must have a working knowledge of experimental design and data collection, information management systems, data interpretation, database design and manipulation, and report writing / summary presentations. Must possess at least a limited and practical knowledge of ag production or manufacturing, with demonstrated experience in agronomy, crop production, soil fertility, plant pathology, entomology, plant physiology, soil microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, fermentation, or microbial ecology a plus. Computer literacy with skills in the Microsoft Office Suite as well as statistical software such as SAS, ASReml, or knowledge of R preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, integrity and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. UNITED STATES or CANADA

DIRECTOR, MICROBIAL PHYSIOLOGY AND PROCESS DEVELOPMENT

The Director, Microbial Physiology will lead the overall scientific, technical and operational efforts of the Microbial Physiology Group in order to support fermentation optimization, characterization and testing of Concentric’s microbial technologies and products. This hands-on individual will have significant experience in optimizing and quantifying microbial fermentation processes and will also have experience in managing a small team of scientists. The candidate will lead the team as part of the larger Research and Development group as he/she identifies workflow to promote continuous improvement principles.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires an M.S. or Ph.D. in Microbial Physiology, Chemical Engineering or a related field with established experience (12+ years at the M.S. level or 6+ years at the Ph.D. level) preferably in the bioagricultural industry. The candidate must have excellent knowledge of microbial fermentation, process development and recovery. A solid record and interest in people management with at least 4 years of experience in managing a team of scientists is required. Must be a committed team player, detail-oriented project manager and clear communicator.

CANADA

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSOCIATE

This position is responsible for assisting with the general operations of the finance and accounting department, including maintaining financial records and being responsible for all steps in the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Other duties and responsibilities include preparing financial reports, participating in the closing of month-end financial statements, supporting the Corporate Controller and CFO, and participating in the development, monitoring and improvement of the internal control systems of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a completed degree in accounting and a minimum of three years of related work experience. This person must be computer literate, and experience working in Sage 300 ERP is a plus. An ability to prioritize and multitask, and a strong sense of urgency, discretion and reliability are important. Must be bilingual (English and French).

AREA SALES MANAGER, QUEBEC

We are seeking an organized, energetic and results-driven Area Sales Manager, Quebec to join our sales team.  The qualified person will be responsible for all agricultural sales activities, from lead generation through after-the-sale / account support in an assigned territory to achieve revenue targets, customer satisfaction and long-term account goals of expanding the customer base in the Quebec territory.

Concentric is an early-stage, revenue generating company in the plant health biologicals segment with aggressive growth goals for Canada, the U.S. and beyond. As part of this growing team, your past experiences with more established agriculture companies will contribute to the maturing of our business. It is important that you bring a strong commitment to building a business in the territory and being accountable for the results.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy, Life Sciences, Horticulture, Agriculture or related field and a minimum of 5 years in a related field with business-to-business sales experience. Responsible for negotiating and managing distribution agreements and conflict resolution. Familiarity with high value fruit, vegetable and berry crops is required along with a good knowledge of local territory growers. Agronomy experience specific to supporting growers transitioning from conventional to organic farming with an emphasis on bio-rational products and farming methods is an added plus. Must bring strong industry relationships at the grower and retail level, as well as at other crop input companies. This position requires up to 50% travel.

SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST, PLANT-MICROBE INTERACTION

The successful Senior Research Scientist, Plant-Microbe Interaction is a highly-motivated, experienced scientist who will perform research on interactions between microorganisms and their plant host, particularly with relevance to agriculture. This individual will also help determine the overall strategic direction for in-house and external research programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Ph.D. in Plant-Microbe Biology, Microbial Ecology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology or closely related field. The candidate must have industrial experience (4+ years) in a bio-agricultural company and significant experience working with microorganisms in the lab and in planta or in soil. Knowledge and skills in plant immunity, microbial pathogenesis, beneficial microbes, plant-microbe interaction and phytobiome-related study are required. Bioinformatics and microbial community statistical analysis experience are highly desirable.

SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST, PLANT PHYSIOLOGY

The successful Senior Research Scientist, Plant Physiology will develop and apply in vivo assays (growth chamber, greenhouse, small scale field) to screen and monitor the efficacy of Concentric’s co-fermented microbial products. This position will also help determine the overall strategic direction for in-house and external plant research programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Ph.D. in plant science, with areas of expertise including plant physiology, biochemistry, plant pathology, or genetics. Knowledge of plant-microbe interactions is highly desired. The candidate must have industrial experience (4+ years) in a bio-agricultural company and proven experience in growing diverse crops in controlled environments or greenhouse settings. This person will be working in a multi-disciplinary team.
