DONALD R. MARVIN, MBA

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & DIRECTOR

Mr. Marvin has been a biotechnology entrepreneur and leader in the commercialization of new life sciences diagnostic and research technologies and products for more than 30 years.

Prior to joining Concentric, he was the president and CEO of Cairn Associates Inc., a biotechnology, life science and consumer products strategy development and financial advisory firm.

Most recently, Mr. Marvin was the president and CEO of IdentiGEN, Inc., a leading provider of DNA-based solutions to the agriculture and food industries. He was a co-founder of Nasdaq-traded Orchid BioSciences, a pioneer in human DNA identity testing, where he served as its chief operating officer, chief financial officer and senior vice president of corporate development.

Previously, Mr. Marvin was president and CEO of Diatron Corporation, a biomedical company developing fluorescence-based instrument systems for the clinical diagnostics industry.

His expertise includes strategic planning, business development, technical administration and operations at PepsiCo, Abbott Laboratories and Bayer AG, as well as domestic and international marketing and sales for the clinical diagnostics subsidiary of Boehringer Ingelheim.

Mr. Marvin is a serial entrepreneur with a track record of building exceptional value for stakeholders at several life science and agri-food companies. Formerly New Jersey’s CFO of the year, he has raised over $350 million in both private and public financings and completed nearly a dozen mergers and acquisitions transactions for his former companies. Mr. Marvin has served on the boards of several public and privately held companies and currently serves on the board of MicroBiome Therapeutics, Inc.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Behavior and Finance from Iona College.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND SALES AND CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER

Mr. Sturm is a distinguished senior product, marketing and sales executive, who brings considerable industry experience to Concentric’s global commercialization activities.

He served as Vice President, Consumer Solutions for Koch Agronomic Services, LLC, a $300M plant nutrient division of Koch Industries, Inc., and managed the specialty fertilizer business for the same company as Vice President, Turf & Ornamental Business Unit. Before joining Koch Industries, he held various senior sales and marketing positions with The Coleman Company, Dorel Industries, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Newell Rubbermaid.

Mr. Sturm holds a Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.

SHAWN SEMONES, PH.D.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AND CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Dr. Semones is a distinguished research and development director whose recent work has focused on the applied discovery of microbial technology for agriculture.

Dr. Semones has more than 18 years of experience at Novozymes Biologicals, Inc., where he helped build its BioAg R&D Application Division. Most recently, he was Director of BioAg R&D Application Development and Novozymes Biologicals Site Lead, directing R&D efforts across three sites within North America, as well as a global field R&D team. He has been the R&D lead for the BioAg Alliance, the strategic alliance between Novozymes and Monsanto tasked with the development of new microbial technologies for agriculture, since its inception in 2014.

He holds a doctorate in biology – plant physiology/mycology from Virginia Tech, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

David Sisk is an accomplished global finance executive with significant experience in business strategy, process improvement, and merger and acquisition strategy.

Prior to joining Concentric, he held leadership roles in global organizations such as Armaceli, Platform Specialty Products Corporation and Cheminova A/S.

Mr. Sisk holds a master’s in economics from North Carolina State University, and he is a certified public accountant.

Laura McIntosh, PH.D.

VICE PRESIDENT, PRODUCT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Dr. McIntosh is an experienced research and development and product development leader with a background in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

She previously held senior management and product development positions at Caprion Biosciences Inc., Osprey Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Advanced Research Technologies Inc. and Argose Inc.

After completing her doctorate in human anatomy and cell biology at the University of Manitoba, she held an NSERC post-doctoral fellowship at the National Research Council of Canada. She holds a Master of Science in Human Anatomy and Cell Science from the University of Manitoba, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba.

Ron Restum

VICE PRESIDENT, SALES AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Restum is an accomplished sales and operations leader with vast experience in the plant nutrition sector and greater agriculture industry.

Prior to joining Concentric, he was director of strategic accounts at Compass Minerals International, Inc., where he managed relationships, built partnerships and developed strategic accounts in North America, Europe and Latin America. Prior to that, he led sales efforts as a vice president at Koch Agronomic Services, managing the value-add agriculture products business. He spent more than 30 years at Agrium Inc., (now Nutrien) the world’s largest provider of crop inputs and agricultural services, where he held a succession of sales and operations management positions.

Mr. Restum earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.

Mark Trostle

VICE PRESIDENT, GLOBAL REGULATORY AFFAIRS

Mr. Trostle is an expert in federal, state and international regulations for crop inputs.

He most recently directed global registrations and regulatory affairs for Nutrien Retail, where he managed federal and state pesticide registration; state registration of fertilizer, plant nutritional, seed, and adjuvants; and international pesticide, plant nutritional and adjuvant registration in 60 countries. Prior to joining private industry, he spent more than 31 years in various positions at the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Mr. Trostle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in General Agriculture from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.

Ramesh Murugesan, Ph.D.

SENIOR DIRECTOR, MANUFACTURING AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT – CANADA

Dr. Murugesan completed his doctorate at McGill University’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Montreal, where he worked with biological materials and fermentation to develop new products. Previously, he worked as a manufacturing executive with National Biscuit Industries Ltd. in Muscat, Oman, and quality control for ITC Ltd. (Foods Division) in Chennai, India. He holds a doctorate and a Master of Science in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University and a Bachelor of Technology in Food Process Engineering from Tamilnadu Agricultural University, India.

Jim Samaha CPA

SENIOR DIRECTOR, FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING – CANADA

Mr. Samaha has vast experience in production of financial reports and maintenance of accounting records systems. He previously worked as the chief accountant and as an assistant Controller at 5N Plus, a leading producer of specialty metal and chemical products, and as the accountant for Transcontinental in the Media sector.

He earned his certified public accountant designation at the Hautes Études Commerciale of the University of Montreal, specializing in managerial accounting.

SENIOR DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES

Ms. Sonderby is a skilled human resources leader with demonstrated experience overseeing initiatives in a multi-site operation and implementing policies to engage a talented workforce.

She has over 20 years of experience in human resources, most recently serving as the Director, Human Resources for Visit Denver. She held various previous leadership roles in human resources for companies such as Watermill Express, LLC and United International Holdings.

She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Columbia College, Missouri. She is active in Board positions at the local chapter and Colorado state level of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Aaron Waltz, Ph.D.

DIRECTOR, FIELD TRIALS AND NUTRITION

Dr. Waltz is an accomplished agronomist and agrotechnologist, with expertise in crop protection, plant breeding, transgenic traits and chemical manufacturing (adjuvants) with leading agriculture companies Exacto, Inc., DuPont Pioneer and American Cyanamid. During his nine years as a senior research manager at DuPont Pioneer, he led field evaluations and germplasm characterization for transgenic corn herbicide traits.

Dr. Waltz grew up in rural Nebraska, working on his uncle’s corn, soybean and farrow-to-finish hog farm. He holds master’s and doctoral degrees in agronomy and horticulture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Natalie Shuman

DIRECTOR, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Natalie Shuman is a marketing and communications professional with significant experience in business-to-business marketing, consumer marketing, public relations and journalism. Prior to joining Concentric, she most recently served as the director of global marketing for Sun World International, a vertically integrated agriculture company focused on proprietary table grapes.

Mrs. Shuman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Heather Copeland

DIRECTOR, CORPORATE SERVICES

Ms. Copeland has 20 years’ experience in international planning, human resources, and operations in the biotech, insurance, animal health and international real estate arenas.

Prior to joining Concentric, she was Director of Marketing and Communications for Metis Companies, an executive benefits firm in Kansas. She also has worked in several countries as an international business consultant, advising new businesses on corporate formations, human resources practices, intercultural diplomacy and moving internationally. She previously was Manager of Administration and Control at IdentiGEN North America in Lawrence, Kansas.

Ms. Copeland holds a Bachelor of Arts in Russian and Eastern European Studies from the University of Missouri.

Jarrett Chambers

PRESIDENT, ATP NUTRITION

Mr. Chambers is a leading expert in the interaction of nutrients, and the integration of metabolites and bioactivators, in plant physiology. He co-founded ATP Nutrition, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inocucor and one of the largest plant nutrient suppliers in Canada.  He spearheaded the development of ATP’s System of Chemtrition™, a simplified, easy-to-use, agronomically sound nutritional system for growers.

Prior to establishing ATP Nutrition, Mr. Chambers held lead agronomic technical positions with various multinational fertilizer companies. Through these experiences, he was able to take product innovations such as ESN and Slow Release fertilizers from concept to commercialization. Over the past 18 years, he has focused his efforts on understanding the physiology and interaction of nutrients within the plant. He has leveraged his nutrient knowledge in working in the fruit, vegetable, turf grass and nursery markets, to develop the current ATP Nutrition product line for broadacre crops.

Mr. Chambers holds a Master of Science in Soil Fertility and Microbiology from the University of Manitoba where his research included determining the mode of action of JumpStart and Agrotain technologies.

Carolin Chambers

SENIOR DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING, BROADACRE CROPS – ATP NUTRITION

Ms. Chambers has spent over 25 years as a leader in marketing, sales and operations within the agriculture industry. Prior to ATP Nutrition, she spent five years with Agri-Trend, one of the largest agronomy service providers in North America, where she led the marketing and business development efforts for agronomic and precision management services. Earlier in her career, she was director of operations for Monsanto Canada, where she was responsible for supply chain initiatives and held various senior marketing positions.

Ms. Chambers holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba and completed the Executive Development Program at Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
